Re: A change in direction
Ewan- I like it. I actually LOVED it at one point. It's handsome but feels a little weak
Gregor- feels more timeless than Gregory. It's nice and sturdy
Finn- flimsy. "Cute" in a totally forgettable and soon-to-be-dated way. Finnegan and Fintan are better
James- handsome and classic. Nothing much else to say
Rowan- sort of a cross between Ewan and Finn. Like, it's new-age soft pop like Finn but referential European with a little more staying power, like Ewan.
Drew- it works
Brody- drunk frat boy
Samson- I like Sam. I want to like Samson but it's very "big shaggy dog" to me
Eden- YESSSS! I adore Eden on a boy. It's been in my top 10 a lot. There's a local news anchor with this name. I switched over to spelling it Edan for an attempt at a more clear gendering.
Rory- use to be a top name of mine. Not sure why it fell out of favor actually. It's quite handsome and strong, but soft and poetic as well. Isla- very pretty. It FEELS really predictable even if it's not
Marnie- I'm not crazy about it myself but I respect it. It seems really modern badass but also weirdly timeless. I can picture it on someone of any age and personality.
Maggie- too cutesy on its own. A fine nn
Sophie- eh, it's ok. Better that Sophia, I think. It's just boring as all hell
ETA- if you could take a look at my post below I'd really appreciate it :) only a few names
