I was going to be either Hannah Ruth or Ruth Hannah. If I was a boy I would have been Joseph Robert.
My mother had wanted to call me Maria after The Sound of Music. Unfortunately my parents didn't agree, which is a shame, because I would have liked it.

I have an Aunt Maria. I don't know what her mn is though. She is named after my great grandmother who was Maria Estelle and went by Stella. When they came to the US they changed her name to Mary. Because that was her legal name the people at the nursing home called her Mary even though she didn't go by it. I always felt sad because she would get confused and I thought maybe if they called her by her name Stella it would be less confusing.
