Re: Some more names I've been thinking about...
Daisy- I have a total soft spot for Daisy. Years ago I wrote a character named Daisy and she was so dirty, simple and sweet. So, it's a little cheesy but I do love it. I'd rather use it as a middle name. Brynn- Never liked it. Something feels off about it. Like Brynn is some snobby house wife's bratty daughter. I really dislike -ynn endings.Harper- Love/hate kind of deal. I like that's a little more masculine but it's so pretenious sounding.Dominique- Too frilly. Maybe Brynn's cousin.Clea- Never heard this one before. I'd like it for a middle name, it'd be kind of cool in that slot. It's too lacking for a first name though, I think. Adriana- Dominque's annoying older sister who chain smokes secretly in the back yard.Merrick- I like this, on someone else's kid though. It's cool, and masculine without being stuck up. Wouldn't personally use it, but I wouldn't mind meeting a little Merrick.Ambrose- Hard to take seriously. Maybe better suited for a middle name. Elijah- It reminds me of the episode of Roseanne where DJ meets a kid named Elijah who hums and they start calling him Liza Minnelli. That said, it's a decent name. Not something I'd use.Leander- I don't like the way this looks. Something about it is just off. I'm not crazy about the sound either.Alec- Simple, but nice. Fresher than Alex without being over the top. I would use Alec on it's on, not as a nickname for Alexander.Leonidas- Trying too hard. Way too hard. I like Leo, but Leonidas is over the top.
