QUICK QUESTIONS:
1. In regards to Sayo, is the kanji written in the book or not? Because Sayo has many different meanings depending on which kanji is being used. I'm not saying that it may not mean 'born at night,' it could well be a possibility since one of the nanori (special or name) readings for 生 meaning "birth, genuine, life" is 'sa' and the kunyomi (Japanese readings) for 夜 meaning "evening, night" are 'yo' and 'yoru.'

2. In regards to Takeo, does it say in the book that he was born Takeshi but is called Takeo? Because Takeo isn't actually a variant of Takeshi. Takeshi can be written as 武, 健, 剛 and so on and so forth or it can be used as the kanji (and others) shown but with kanji that is read 'shi' being added like 史, 士 or 志. Takeo uses 2 kanji (sometimes 3) and the last kanji in Takeo are those read as 'o' like 夫, 男 or 雄.
