Eh, I don't think it's that big of a deal.I wouldn't give up the name you love because your parents who live in a different country have a cat with that name.
Hell, cats don't care what you call them, they're just gonna ignore you anyway. So if your parents find it weird after Oscar-the-Person is born Oscar-the-Cat can have a new name.
