Sightings + WDYTO Nettie?
I was so excited to see my first ever Esau.
These are all elderly people:
Berdina Petronella
Florival (not sure of gender)
Leonilde (ditto this)
Isle (f)
Orlandino
Birdie Aileen
Svatoslav
Strinivasan
Viera (f)
Eliza-Lynne Geraldine
Sennon Roman
Eliecer (m)
Esau Peter
Melvyne
Sylbert
Zane (70 yrs old)
Iftikhar (m, I think)
Lorris Salene (f)
Linnea (70 yrs old)
Gorman
Yvan Renald Joseph
Prudenza
Camiel Louis
Sessilja (f)
Aynslie Ruth (80 year old Aynslie!)
Ursula Kathrin
Also I talked to the most amazing woman named Nettie and now I'm totally into the name Nettie. What is your opinion on Nettie? I like it as-is, but is it preferable as a nn for something longer (like Antoinette, Jeanette, etc)?

Love to see an Ursula!
Birdie has been a cutesy favorite of mine for a while. Though I do like Bridie slightly better.
Sennon Roman is kinda cool and Esau Peter is definitely a spunky but strong name.
Prudenza is also kinda cool, and Berdina is on the edge for me.
As for Nettie - I also know an amazing woman with this name. Though, her name is short for Anita. She is in her late 80s now, but as spunky as ever. She is from Italy and lived next door to us growing up. I legitimately considered using Nettie just because of her.
Though, I think that I would like Nettie for Annette.

Esau is awesome. Especially on an elderly gentleman. Very staunch and scholarly, even. Birdie is sweet, too.
I like Nettie. It strikes me as the name of person who forges her own way and isn't afraid to stand up for what she thinks is right. I'd prefer it as a nickname for -nette, but I generally prefer longer names. Ideas:
Annette / Anita - though I prefer Annie
Ninette / Nanette
Simonette
Linnet / Linnette
Lunete
Nettle
Agneta
Garnet
Janet
Bernadette
Nicoleta / Nicoletta / Nicolette

Nettie makes me think of a neti pot. :\
