U and Y names?
Please give me your honest opinion on these names. I'm rather on the fence about them and having a hard time actually deciding which ones I prefer. I'm just really hesitant on all of themUlric (leaning towards this one)
Ulysses
Uriah Yorick
Yordan
YannickWhich ones from both list are the best?

Ulric-not a fan. I just don't like the sound of it.
Ulysses- war general, mythology.
Uriah-I don't know why, but I think of uric acid. I'll pass on this name.
I guess I don't really like either of the three.Yorick- sounds like a vacuum cleaner.
Yordan-alternative to Jordan but I like Jordan better.
Yannick- Icky, yank, yankie, yani. Um, no thanks.

Being completely honest I'm not a fan of how 'U' names sounds, so I don't really like your choices at all. But out of all of them Ulric sounds slightly better? I hate Uriah, the way it sounds is just... -shudders- sorry. I like the -ric sound at the end of Ulric which I think makes it work for me.In a complete 180, I love 'Y' names, especially those that can also have a 'J' sound. Personally not a fan of Yorick, but that's maybe because I automatically think Shakespeare. Yordan is a personal fave as is Yannick. Definitely love Yannick, though I prefer Yann (because Yannick is a diminutive of this).

Ulric - quite like this one (though I do prefer Ulfric). In the film 'A Knight’s Tale', William Thatcher calls himself Ulrich von Liechtenstein while posing as a knight. Very much enjoyed the movie and the character, so the name has some very positive associations for me. Could be nn Rick.Ulysses - I don't dislike it, but I don't like it either. Wasn't a big fan of Ulysses when I read The Odyssey in university. I have trouble seeing it as a first name, especially on a child.Uriah - I just don't like the sound of it. And it's a villainous character in Charles Dickens' novel 'David Copperfield': Uriah Heep.Yorick - don't mind it, though it's a bit hard to take seriously. I always think of Hamlet's jester: "Alas, poor Yorick!" Could be nn Rick.Yordan - I don't think I've ever really seen or heard it. Could be nn Dan.Yannick - I'm pretty neutral to it. Could be nn Nick.

I don't really like any of these, except Uriah, a little. It's my great-great-grandfather's name, but I guess he didn't like it, because he went by Frank (his name was Uriah Francis).I guess with the Y names I'd pick Yordan.
