1. Kurt. Looks more German. Don't like Curtis/Kurtis at all.
2. I think it's TOO soft and, well, bland. It would depend on the first name, though.
3. Rat names? I would just go random...Rupert, Geronimo, Cacao, Sassy, and Inga.
