If I were a Mom I could totally see myself using Keanu, Ryder, Leroy, Bruno, Jameson, Moses, Matthias, and Roscoe, but I can definitely see the others going more or less extinct. I didn’t think people were seriously using Tiger as a name in the first place.Maybe Jameson Ryder, Bruno Matthias, Keanu Leroy, or Roscoe Bowen, lol.

About as extinct as mosquitoes.Probably a list compiled either by AI or by someone who doesn't understand statistics and saw names that had dropped in popularity over the past year.

Not so much extinct. A friend of mine had a baby boy a year ago and named him Keanu. She is Canadian but her husband comes from New-Caledonia. They wanted a name to remind their child of his Polynesian heritage.

I like / somewhat like:
Keanu
Leroy (I like it but I do think it's dated)
Griff (if it's short for Griffin, not by itself)
Aydan (the way I'm saying it anyway... if it's pronounced like Aidan then it's not as good but still fine)
Jameson
Tiger
Matthias
Preston
HanseNo opinion:
Younes (I've never heard of this)
Bowen (just sounds like a last name)
Buddy (nickname only, don't like as an actual name)
Bruno (dog-ish)
Raffy (good as a nickname)
Miller
Roscoe (I've been seeing this recently)Don't like:
Ryder (cheesy)
Moses
Nelson
Luigi

I’m pretty sure Keanu, Ryder, Bowen, Bruno, Jameson, Matthias, and Miller are NOT on the BRINK of extinction. The rest I can see why they are.

I like:Griff (I like this as a nickname for Griffin)
Jameson
Miller

I work at a school and see a lot of names on a lot of young people. I am definitely disagreeing with Ryder, Aydan, Bowen, Jameson and Preston.

I like Roscoe, Moses, Matthias, Griff, Preston, Miller, Aydan, Tiger and Leroy. Bruno and Preston have never left the top US 1000's. XD Ryder has gained traction. I can believe Roscoe, Raffy, Griff and Buddy though. I doubt Luigi, with it being a traditional name. I've never heard of Hanse, so I can believe that too.

I doubt Matthias and Jameson is still around

Um, no.

Not sure what their criteria are because Preston, Bruno, Jameson, and Ryder are definitely not on the brink of extinction... In fact, they're at peak popularity right now.Leroy and Buddy I would agree with. I'm not sure Tiger was ever really used to begin with.Boy names actually on the brink of extinction:
Chester
Dewey
Donald
Elroy
Gerald
Herbert
Howard
Irving
Lester
Loren
Ray
Wilbur
Woodrow

I love Howard and like Elroy and Gerald. I can't wait for them to near extinction because I'm looking for some uncommon names. :D

I agree with most of the Boy names you mentioned that are actually on the brink of extinction, and in the case of Donald, I'm not sure because it's still in the top 1000, but I think it's soon fall out of the top 1000 and become a brink of extinction name.

I think Donald Trump will eventually kill the name.

The sooner, the better. It's one name I would love to see gone. It surprises me how it's still within the top 1000 due to the datedness of it alone.

I think that instead of being on the verge of extinction, most of the names are on the rise in popularity, or at least in the top 1000 (Keanu, Ryder, Bowen, Bruno, Jameson, Moses, Preston, Matthias, Miller). And isn't Aydan a girl's name from Turkiye?

In America, it's a variant of Aiden.

Thank you. So this might be one of those spelling variations that was popular for a short time and then disappeared.

Yep, it definitely doesn't have staying power like Aiden and Aidan do.
