Emmanuel Ben Ahar Eban boarded the "Slains Castle" at Portsmouth in England in 1845. The vessel was bound for New Zealand and Australia. Emmanuel Eban, and another passenger, Mary Wilson, disembarked in Nelson, New Zealand, and the two later married. I have more details if anyone would like to know.I am a descendant, and know of no other Eban family other than those related to Abba Eban to whom we are not related. If any one has more information I would love to here from you.Stuart Eban
