Lolo for Charlotte, and Nini for ??
Recently I've seen a movie with two German sisters, a bit before WW1, from an aristocratic family. The first was Charlotte nn Lolo, and the second one was Nini, but they never mentioned her full name. What do you think it could be, according to the country & time?

A schoolfriend's mother is Janine, nn Nini - I'm not sure if any variants of Janine are/have been used in Germany though.

It might not be related, but I caught a bit of a German-language film about Elisabeth of Austria ("Sisi") recently, and her nickname for her sister Helen was Nene.

Could it be a nn for Nina?Nick names don't have to be short forms of the formal name.Otherwise I think it could be a nn for Carina, Corina, Georgina, Katarina, Sabine etc.Ninni is used as a nn for Ingrid in Sweden.
