BTN is the internet's most reliable database for name etymology and meanings, so you can just click it and confirm your suspicion.I like Valerie a lot. I know it's a little dated. I have only positive associations with it, and I think it's pretty. "Val" is a great syllable. I like that Val is a little boyish and that Valerie is just slightly unisex. Valerie is one of those names that is both strong/tough and pretty. I expect it with sisters named Angela and Kathleen. I would honestly consider Valerie for a daughter.
