Re: A change in direction
Ewan - The only one I knew was too successful for his ability, and that coupled with the way it starts with EW prevents me from giving it the respect it deserves
Gregor or Gregory - can't decide which one I prefer - I like the brisk, businesslike Gregor; by comparison, Gregory fizzles out like an adjective
Finn - too fishy
James - an all-time star, and so versatile; what's not to like, except maybe popularity
Rowan - delighted you see it as a male name! I really like it
Drew - Just Drew, not short for anything (though I kinda like Alexandru nn Dru) - Drew is a surname, if that helps! I prefer it alone rather than with the possible presence of flabby Andy hanging over it
Brody - not a fn at all to me, so maybe just a mn to make it look like a family ln
Samson 'Sam' - I dislike all Sam names, male and female alike; and Samson has got the Son of Sam lurking uncomfortably in the background
Eden - silly; you can do better
Rory - same as RowanIsla - I've tried to like it, but the missing -y at the end always bugs me and it gives off a trendoid vibe as well
Marnie - unattractive nn; no hope as a full fn
Maggie - as a full name - OK, if necessary, but I prefer more options; Margaret or Magdalen are both good
Sophie - I prefer Sophia, but only if it has the English, not Spanish, pronunciation.
