Help[Opinions] Griffin for a girl?
I am starting to like Griffin for a girl, mostly likely as a MN only. WDYT? any FN suggestions?

This is the only time I like Griffin:
The Gr- makes it more masculine to me for humans, though. And the -iff makes me want to giggle. And the fact that it's a half-eagle, half-lion mythological beast.
It fits with a lot of things as a middle name though. Tallulah Griffin springs to mind for some reason. Charlotte Griffin, Anna Griffin, Alexandra Griffin, Nadia Griffin, Molly Griffin, Alyssa Griffin, Victoria Griffin are combos drawn from a random yearbook page.

It's ok for a boy, but I'd say really too harsh for a girl. I think of "gruff" when I see it. Don't really have any fn suggestions, sorry.

Sorry but I really dislike it, I don't see why someone would want to call a child, male or female, after a mythic monster or a gargoyle. If you really want it's better definitively to keep it as a mn, even though I'd be inclined to assume it was part of the last name

Well, the little girl inside of me is jumping up and down with excitement at this name, but my instincts all say "no", because it would be way too trendy in today's world. I think it would take the right person to pull it off right.
Whenever I think of a girl's name, I always try to picture it with "Princess" in front of it. Because, as we all know, most little girls, at one time in their life at least, get pretty girly, what with dress up and all. So imagine little Griffin playing dress up, in a pink, frilly, frou-frou princess costume, insisting that everyone call her Princess Griffin. Now, I know some girls are tomboys (I was never one to play princess!), but I'm talking about in general. How would a little girly-girl like to be bestowed with a toughie name, or unusual name, like Sawyer or Campbell? (I actually kind of like those names, though... Yikes). I'm not saying every girl should be named some girly name, but I'm just giving my opinion. Although, if I was a little tomboy eleven-year-old girl named Griffin, I would totally dig it out loud.

Sorry, I think it's hideous. I'm not all that fond of Griffin as a boy's name, either.
