I don't think Gertrude will make a huge comeback like Violet or Emma...it is more harsh sounding. It definitely does remind me of an old lady. Trudy is a very cute nn though...if you like it go for it. I personally don't mind it so much, but wouldn't use it... just so the nn isn't Gert.

No I think Gertrude is in there with Bertha, Agatha, Helga, Agnes, Henrietta, Bessie, Olga, Mabel...not likely to make a comeback any time soon...
