That's a tough one! They're both beautiful names. I appreciate Julia's soft femininity and Victoria's strength and sophistication. Despite sounding softer, I wouldn't call Julia a weak name at all though.
Since there's already a Julia in the family, I'd go with Victoria "Tori." I know more people named Julia and Julie than people named Victoria, so it would make more sense to use a name that fewer people I know have. I also think that Victoria fits in with the other names I like a bit better than Julia does, but I've always found Julia to be very pretty.

Argh, I struggle to choose because I really like both of them and would happily use either. Victoria wins, but only because my bf's Victoria and great-granny was Victoire. Julia is a fantastic name.

Yes. I go on and on to others about how one association shouldn't be held against the innocent name itself. And I use Victoria all the time in combo suggestions. I even use it myself in a few favorite combos. (Wren Victoria, Victoria Alix)
And now you've reminded me of the lovely Victoria Brooke (who goes by Brooke) as an inspiration! I shall not deviate from the path of light and reason again. :-)

Victoria. Obviously. Because that's what I named my daughter. I do like Julia, also, yet it is a name that I never considered. I prefer Victoria because it's somewhat more regal and elegant than Julia, I like its association with the queen, and heck, I just think it's more beautiful. And it's longer than Julia, and I tend to like long girls' names.
