[Opinions] Cleo
I met a girl named this today and it was so refreshing to meet someone named this and not another Chloe (I know like 20 of them at least, also spelled Cloe, Khloe and Kloe). It wasn't short for anything. So I really like this name but wonder whether to spell it Cleo, Clio, Kleo or Klio. I guess there is no right way as it gets translated from Greek I guess the all derive from Kleio (would this be the best spelling?) anyway but which one do you like best? I tend to say Cleo or Kleio.Do you think it's too close to Chloe? Will it get common? Or always be misunderstood or mistaken for the very common Chloe?

I really like Clio.

I only think of one thing when it comes to the name Cleo. That is Cleopatra.

I really like Cleo! I think I prefer Cleo, but Clio is also lovely.

I quite like Cléo (clay-o), thanks to the John Cale song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gyAFDA0UgSY), but clee-o is good too. Clio would avoid any confusion with Chloe, but Cleo looks more comfortable.

I like it, but I like Chloe, as well. No, I don't think it will become more common, at least not any time soon.I prefer the Cleo spelling.

I really like Cleo and I think that spelling will cause the least ammount of confusion. Clio is also a nice spelling, but I have a feeling people would naturally spell it as Cleo.It is somewhat close to Chloe, but I don't think it will become very common. A Cleo could be confused as a Chloe, which I didn't think about until you brought it up.

It makes me think of my car, which is a renault Clio.I wouldn't use it myself and I think it would get confused for Chloe, especially if there are a lot of Chloe's with different spellings in your area. Cloe and Cleo would get mixed up all the time.

I prefer the spelling Clio, like the Greek muse.

I like Cleo, and prefer it spelled that way. I don't see it becoming too popular. I do think it would be mistaken for Chloe quite a bit, seeing how popular that name is right now.

I'd spell it Cleo. I think it would cause the least confusion, except for maybe being mistaken for Chloe when people just glance at it. Which they'd do. My name is Shannon and it sometimes gets mistaken for Sharon when looked at. Clearly people don't look that hard.Anyway, I do like the spelling Clio best, but I think people might sometimes try to pronounce that with a long I. There's a town in my state spelled and pronounced that way. And Kleio might get a lot of long A sound. So yes, Cleo I think would be safest.I can't see Cleo getting terribly common. It's much too associated with Miss Cleo. Tons of jokes would ensue.

I get called Cleo quite oftenWhich I don't mind, because Cleo was my runner-up for my name change. In the end though I thought I was more Chloe-like than Cleo-like. So yes, I think it would be mistaked for Chloe (or "Cloe") quite often. I don't know if it will get common. People still joke about "Miss Cleo" a lot, and also a lot of my friends think of Cleo as a "cow's name" - no idea why, but maybe it's a cultural belief I'm just not aware of. I think of it as a cattish name myself.I like it a great deal, it's very sharp and chic. I too am torn between Clio and Cleo as spellings. I like the bright clarity of Clio, but, no doubt it would never be spelled correctly.

I think I'd rather see it on a cat than a human.

I'm not keen on this but kudos for other people naming their kids this.Don't think it will get misconstrued for Chloe et al, though I can see why you might think this, kinda looks like an anagram
