[Opinions] Malachi
What do you think of the name Malachi? Does it sound okay with the last name Mason? Or is that a bad alliteration. Also WDYT of the nn Kai?

I love it. Spunky, and has a great meaning. Kai is a cute nn.I think it sounds fine with Mason. They start with different sounds (Mah- May-) so IMO it works. Alliteration is nothing to be afraid of, if they start with different sounds.Back home I looked after a Madison Marjory M_______, so a triple M. Her twin sister was Zoe Anne.

Malachi Mason sounds fabulous. It's a good name. Kai, to me, is trashy and not so good.

I like Malachi. I don't think Malachi Mason would work well though; I'm not a fan of alliteration. Although it is sort of fun to say... and it's sort of alright because Malachi has 3 syllables and Mason has 2... idk.
I like Kai as a full name. As a nn for Malachi I'd probably spell it Chi or maybe Cai.

I love Malachi. It has a sultry, smoky quality to it. I know a woman who just named her son Malachi Jericho. (I love both names, but I don't like the way the names have the identical rhythm, plus the "k" sounds in the identical place in each name bothers me.) She wanted to use the nn Kai, but a close family member had already used it. Malachi's older sister (by 15 months) couldn't say Malachi for the longest time. She ended up saying, "Dead Eye" which was pretty funny. Malachi Mason isn't the best pairing I've ever heard. But it isn't bad and I certainly wouldn't let it stop me if I truly loved the name Malachi. It isn't easy to find a name that "feels right." To have to give it up because it isn't an absolute perfect fit with the surname makes little sense to me.
