Love it. I'd use it for a boy if I didn't already know heaps.

I like it. I use to not because I knew so many growing up that it felt dated to my age group. But then I saw a middle aged character named Jordan on TV once and it helped to make it feel more timeless. I do think it might sound slightly more dated than Jason but no more than Ryan (which feels like a comparable name to me). Jordan Xavier is a great combo btw

I don't like it. I have a friend that wants to name her first child (which she is far off from having) Jordan, whether its a boy or a girl. I dislike it for both. It reminds me of either a dated 90's name, Jordan from the UK, or Michael Jordan. I think it became popular in the 90's solely because of Michael Jordan. Everyone seemed to love him then.
I can't see an old man with the name, nor an old woman.

Sure, it will age very well. Jordan is firstnamey, and relatively unfaddish because it's a place name. In 20 years it will seem completely natural on aging men and will be a dad name - it already is almost a dad name! And in 50 years it'll start to become a grandpa name, and I think it'll retain most of its dignity - at least, it'll seem no less dorky/dated than Gary or Ray or Travis ever will.

I think it's an athletic-sounding name. For that reason, I have a hard time visualizing it on anyone who would be too old to be athletic. But I think it's the type of name that will age with the person. It's similar to Jason (but less dated). Also, "Jordy" sounds like a nickname that would work on an old man for some reason XD (Despite the fact that I've only ever heard Jordy used for female Jordans. It just sounds like it would work as an old guy nickname.)

There are a bajillion Jordans in the world so whether the name is ready or not, there will be old ones zooming around on wheelchairs and whatnot.

I love Jordan Xavier! Honestly I prefer Jordan for a girl but that combo is great. Don't worry about Jordan being not suitable for an old man. A hundred years ago, people would of had a hard time imagining Clarence, Cecil, and Elmer being used old men.

Jordan Xavier is a very handsome combination. Love it. It will age very well. Jordan leaves room for a cute nickname like Jordy (if you want it) for when he is very young, yet he can easily fall back on the full Jordan when older. Win, win. :-)

But I confess the issue of age is somewhat of a puzzler to me. Every Orville and Wilbur began as children, after all. But yes, in general, classics are the way to go. And you've chosen a classic. Rest easily.
