[Opinions] Cara, Claire, Blair(e)
What do you think of the names, Cara, Claire, and Blair(e) as first names for a girl? Do you prefer Blair spelled with or without an e? Also, if you had to choose between these three names, which one would you choose/like the best and why? Mom to Joanna Catherine

I like Claire, this spelling, best. Blair isn't bad, but not a huge favorite. I like it slightly better for a boy. Either way, I don't care for it with an "e" on the end. Cara (or Kara) is nms, but not awful by any means. :)

They are all nice names for girls. I prefer Blaire with an e for a girl. If I had to choose one for my daughter, I think I'd choose Blaire. I definitely can see Blair on a girl, probably because of the tv show The Facts of Life, haha.

Claire, Cara, then Blaire. I don't really like Blair(e) much at all (for a boy or a girl). If you are looking for a name for yourself, I think Claire and Joanna would make a lovely sibset. ----Betsy-----

Blair reminds me of 'The Blair Witch Project', soap operas, and the word 'blare'. I would like it otherwise. Claire is a beautiful name. I also like Cara.

I adore Claire for a girl and Cara is rather pretty but I really dislike Blair / Blaire for a girl. It's so masculine stuck-up to me and I just don't think it's nice for a girl at all.I prefer Claire out of all three because I think it's just so pretty and feminine yet strong at the same time like a woman lawyer. :)
I adore Claire as a middle name right now but it would make a lovely first name.Joanna & Claire or Joanna & Cara sound lovely! :)

I like Cara the most. It's interesting yet simple and it has a nice meaning. Claire is just so popular and it seems very bland to me.

I dislike Blair. There's something very business-like about it. It seems like the name of lawyer from some tv show rather than a child or anyone you would meet in real life.

I like Cara and Claire, but I've never liked Blaire very much. However, I like it better with an e than without.Of the three, I like Cara the best, partly because I have good memories of two Caras I used to know. That's probably not too helpful to you though. : -) I like Cara pronounced with a long a (CAR-a) as opposed to a short a (care-A). (I've heard it both ways)

Cara -- Very pretty. It can be Italian or Irish.Claire -- Beautiful. Classic and elegant.Blair / Blaire -- I don't like either name. Tony Blair immediately pops to mind. I can't see it on a girl at all.

Claire! No contest. I really hate the others, especially Blair. Isn't that what a trumpet does?

Claire -- I love this name, classic
Blaire -- I prefer this for a boy, but on a girl its alright. My friends little sister is Blaire Elyse, so it's grown on me. For a girl I prefer it with an e.
Cara -- I pefer Cara with a K, but its still my least fav of the three, although I still really like it.
