Rose
Rose is a very pretty name. Not my favorites of the flower-based names, but it's associated with nice smells and flavours (rose turkish delight) and it's the name of my favorite of Dr Who's companions (Rose Tyler).
Dahlia, on the other hand, I just don't like. It sounds incomplete because of how soft the h makes the name. Unlike, say, Delia which is almost the same, but I prefer by a long stretch.
Aside from that, Rose looks better visually.

Rose. I much prefer the sound and look of Rose to Dahlia, though Dahlia is not horrible by any stretch.

The sound is pretty compelling. Also I'm reminded of neoclassical art for some reason.
I've heard "dahlias" pronounced in different ways, and it seems more showy/ornamental. I prefer Dalia, anyway.

I like Dahlia, but it bothers me that it's surname Dahl +ia and a genus. I have the same trouble liking Zinnia... I can forget about that when it's someone's name, and enjoy it as a name, but I can't overlook it when I'm picking my own favorites.
Rose has this thing going on where it sounds plain and a little harsh and old-fashioned, like Ruth, but evokes roses so it's also summery and feminine like Dahlia, and also it's thorny and heavy with symbolism like Athena or Sophia, so it's a powerful seeming name for a woman ... it's complex, or simplex ... and that's very appealing, gives it a sense of potential.

Rose. I love that name and all the versions of it, I can think of.
Dahlias are beautiful flowers but the name itself is just okay in my opinion.

Dahlia sounds like dalliance to me.
I like Rose. Classic and beautiful. Though well known, it is not common or popular right now.

Dahlia, I think it's much more interesting, I never really liked Rose much.

Rose, partly for sentimental reasons. But I also love the name. It has a quiet elegance about it but also lends itself to the spunky Rosie as a nickname. I like Dahlia, too, though. Just not quite as much.

Rose, it has cute nicknames and isn't too fancy looking. I think the 'h' in Dahlia makes it seem fake to me, I think I possibly like Dalia better than Rose though..

I prefer Delia to Dahlia, but not enough to use it.
Rose works as a nn for Rosemary and similar names; I prefer the longer forms.

Dahlia is sweet, but Rose has been a long time favorites. Classic, simple, not really dated. Plus the Black Dahlia connection is a bit much for me.
