I adore Cassandra more about its history, but Alexandra has a more pleasing pronunciation.

Alexandra!I love Alexandra. Cassandra is pretty, weighty name. It reminds me of gold for some reason. Not a bad name by any means, but Alexandra is just top tier imo.

CassandraI ADORE both Cassandra and Alexandra, but the former a little bit more than the latter for today. So, that was why I picked it. :)

Alexandra, though I'd only consider it as a mn, because of length and the extreme popularity of Alexander and all its short forms.
Cassandra doesn't appeal to me; don't much like the sound, and a friend has a dog called Cassie, though in her case it's short for Cassidy.
