Cordelia is very striking and authoritative. It's a person with a lot of inner strength and gumption. With that said, I'd be lying if I said it was my favorite of the -elia names. I generally preferred softer Alternatives in Ophelia, Odelia, Adelia etc. I like Cornelia on a theoretical level but I have trouble getting past the corn prefix. Cordelia definitely wins out between the two for that one. It also has significantly more personality and originality than Amelia.

It's an elegant and romantic name, with a strong sound.

I've liked it for about 20 years. I think it will re-enter the Top 1000 again soon. It's a great alternative to Lydia, and has lots of potential nicknames to choose from.

Adding a Cor does nothing to enhance or improve Delia, which is perfectly OK in its own right.

Decent but I much prefer Ophelia.

My associations: snobbish old-lady, tangled cords and Dell. But mostly electrical cords. No offence.
