[Opinions] Cedric?
What are your opinions on Cedric? Nn Ced (sed) or Sid or Ricky. Also, what are some female names that would pair well?

I don't like it, it sounds weird.

Immediately reminds me of Cedric Diggory. The name is nice. Very crisp in a good way.

I kind of like Cedric, and I think Harry Potter went a long way toward "normalizing" the name. (Prior to him, the only time I'd ever heard of Cedric in real life was the name of the comedian Cedric the Entertainer.) I like Ced as a nickname.

Cedric's one of my favourites. It has a really pleasant sound, and a kind, gentle feel about it. I'm not a huge fan of the nn options, but they're okay and I think it's fine in full. I'd imagine he'd have sisters Morgana, Guinevere, Maeve, Cerys, Jana, Kaia, Freyja, or Astrid.

Cedric has a studious yet fun-loving vibe. To me the best nn by far is Ced, if a nn is even called for.

Cedric is really tweedy and cute, and Ced as a nickname is really dashing. I forget about this name a lot, but whenever I remember it, I just love it. It has a scholarly but also woodsy aura to me, so that makes me think of these female names:Frances
Rowena
Margot
Greta
Edwina
Sylvie (Cedric & Sylvie = CUTE)
Gwendoline
Winifred!

Not a fan. Ric could work as a nickname, though. Not feeling Ced or Sid.
