My mother suggested Emily as a name for my daughter, in 2006 - and I think I made a face. But I don't think it's a bad name.
It's still nice and usable. I think I'd like it much more, if it hadn't been so insanely popular. I like the sounds in it.
I don't love it, though. It has a slightly stuffy or prissy vibe for me, like Alice - it never quite seemed youthful and strong and full of potential, to me. I like Hannah better (a name that was also too popular, at the same time).
