I know a baby Chuck which is just bizarre to me.

Was it ever? It's totally unknown where I live, which is just fine by me.

Uhh, although I do like the series, most likely not. I don’t like it anyways but it’s okay if I’m looking at it objectively.

I'm not sure Chuckie was ever all that popular. I never knew anybody called Chuckie even as a little kid, and only ever met one Chuck. It lacks the nasty baggage of Dick, but it's in the same family because it's just fallen way out of style. Young Charles is much more likely to be Charlie now.

Two images come to mind when I think of Chucky. The evil doll from the Child’s Play Series or the Rugrats character. I don’t think it’s usable for a child. Chuck maybe but not Chucky.

Maybe Chuck, lol. Or, you could use Charles with the nickname Chucky. Regardless, it’s all doll to me.

I knew kids named Chucky or Chuckie growing up, actually. I don't think the doll has completely unseated the name from usability in some people's minds.Charles may have declined precipitously in popularity, but it's still a top 50 name in the US so I imagine if kids want to use it, it'll still have some degree of usability.Personally, I'd definitely rather be known as Chucky than Chuck. Chuck sounds... old.

I don’t think it will. The doll is too ingrained in people’s minds now. Maybe Chuck, if Charles comes back.

Chuck is okay, Chucky not so much
