[Opinions] My plants
Here are the names of my plants and plans for naming future ones:
My current plants (in order of being bought):
Brim: Short for Brimleigh, a play on Brynleigh from a podcast I used to love and the town I got her from.
Io: Based on Ionantha, her species(Tillandsia Ionantha).
Romeo: I thought the name was cute. His middle name is Celadon.
Esmeralda: I can't remember exactly why I chose this.
Klara: My only cactus. Named for Klara Soderberg, the lead of my favorite band.
Evander: I've always liked the name
Leonora: As soon as I bought her, I knew she was a Leonora. I dunno how to describe it.
Shelby: Looks like Leonora but taller. I don't know why I chose Shelby, it just seemed fitting. My future plants:
Catrina: Will be Esmeralda's sister. Named for the Mexican Dia De Dos Muertos (symbol? diety? something else? not really sure what La Catrina is)
Harrison/Harris/Harry: If I get another Tillandsia harrisii (Same thing as Brim is) I will name him Harry. The name is from harrisii.
All of my cacti will be named after artists. I'm planning to name one Phoebe (for Phoebe Bridgers) and one Miranda, Manny, or Lin (for Lin Manuel Miranda)
What are your thoughts? Suggestions? Opinions?

I dunno. They all have distinct personalities and pots. To me it's like people!

Same! I've always thought that plants have distinct personalities. I would always paint their pots to tell their stories... the calm ones would be painted light blue, while the more boisterous ones would be painted red. I've always liked communicating with animals and plants -- it's just simpler to be friends with them, since they don't have much to say.

I think it's cute that you're naming plants. I always used to give mine nature names.

Thanks! I thought about giving them nature names, too.
