[Opinions] Stepan / Stefan + variants
How do you feel about Stefan / Stepan? I like both names very much. Stepan is what is used where I am.
Stefan is less common variant. I like Stefan little bit more because Stepan has association with Bandera (very bad man, he was nazi collaborator and he massacred poles and jews :( for some reason many of my country love him)Stepan is steh-PAHN or in Russian styih-PAHN.
Stefan is steh-FAHN. I consider using either for future child, what do you think? How do you feel about girl versions?
Stefaniya and Stepanyda. Stepanyda is from Stepan, Stefaniya is from Stefan, but Stefaniya is more common than Stepanyda.
steh-fah-NYEE-yah and steh-pah-NIH-dah
I kind of like Stefaniya but not Stepanyda.Other than these I also like Belarusian form, Stsyapan
I like it by sound, but I hate łacinka transcription (Ściapan) though cyrillic is nice (Сьцяпан)
It's on site in submitted as Stsiapan
Do you like any of these? What is most common form of Stepan / Stefaniya where you are from?
