[Opinions] Nickname Bo
What longer name would you use for a girl with the nickname Bo?

Replies

I feel like this is one of those names that could be applied to any name, not just one that solely sounds like an appropriate approximation?I detest this and Beau, though.
Blossia / Blosia (ancient Roman)
Ambrosia (ancient Greek)
Bromia (ancient Greek)
Nice choices, thank you!
I especially like Blossia.
I despise Bo, it's such a dull nickname and it's worse as a name on its own, but I guess it would work for:Robin, Deborah, October, Bowie, Boglárka, Ibolya, Bonifacia, Barbora, Euboea and especially Élisabeau.
Is there a particular reason you despise this name? I was thinking about it the other day because I remembered that the little girl in the movie "Signs" was named Bo. She was played by Abigail Breslin in the movie, and I remembered thinking she was quite sweet, then I wondered whether the name was short for something else, but I haven't had time to delve deeper to discover if indeed it was.Ineresting name set. Elisabeau is quite beautiful!

Not really, I don't have any associations. I simply dislike how it looks on paper. Ironically, I like Beau.
Isabeau, maybe?Boann, though I'm not super sure of the pronunciation. Bóinn is the modern version.Bowen could work for a girl.Rainbow!

Well, the actress Bo Derek's real name is Mary Katherine or Kathlee, I forget which, so the name wouldn't necessarily have to have a bo connection.Roberta?Barbara?Bonnie?
Bo for Roberta is pretty cool.Bonnie is cute too, but it's almost a nickname on its own.
Bronwyn is a nice option - thank you!
We knew a lady named Bonita who went by Bo
Very nice!
Boudicca is a bad@$$ full name for Bo.
