[Opinions] James
I am really starting to like this name lately. What do you think of it? Is it better for a first name or middle name?

James has always been a fave of mine. I prefer it as a mn, because I don't like any nn's that get used for James.

I love the name James. It is my all time favorite boy's name, and the only name that hasn't changed for as long as I can remember. I think it works well as a first or middle name, if only because it goes well with many other names.
I don't like the nn Jamie at all, as it sounds girlish to me. I like Jim/Jimmy, but I prefer it spelled Jem/Jemmy. I also think JJ is cute for a little boy named James, if he is a Junior or if his middle name starts with J.

I don't like it. Somehow, for me, James lacks the dignity that other classic, historically royal names like Charles and Edward have. I've always thought it sounded a bit kiddish.

I like it better as a first name, just because it's used as a middle name so often, but it does work nicely as a middle name with many first names. It's a great name. Simple and classic.

I love James! It's one of my all time favorite boy's name. I hate the nicknames Jim/Jimmy, Jaime is alright but I just prefer James. For me, I like it better as a first name but either or is great.
