I love Josephine! It was the name of my great grandmother. I hadn't even thought of using it as a FN (it was a MN possibility, but was pushed aside). Thank you! Rosemary is also very pretty. I like Adelaide and Eleanor as well, but I've been seeing them so frequently on sites like this that I'm worried they'll be booming sometime in the future.

Steph- first, thanks for your comments on my post the other day (regarding Hayley Rose)- and my taste in names which is classic like yours. I agree with you, I don't want my child being 1 of 5 in a class - my name is Melissa and I was born in the 70s for goodness sakes! ;)With that said, and I'm trying hard to take my own advice on this one, you can't really be _too_ crazed about the possibility of names booming because even if they don't, some other parent could have thought of the same thing and then whoops! Your child becomes one of several. A name you might pick now might boom because of sites like this catching on, or it might never boom except in your little world- that is always a chance you take. I try to steer clear of the top 100, and God forbid, the top 50 of the current year, but other than using stats and judging by people you know, anything can happen. So if you love it, use it! :) MelissaPS Rosemary was my grandmother's name and I love it.

I know, and I'm completely aware of all that. But unfortunately, if all names were equally popular, my first choice would be Elizabeth. Elizabeth is #12 right now... so that's certainly a no-go! I just want to do my best to choose a name for my children that will set them apart and keep them as an individual. I am aware that things may happen and they may meet others with their name; so be it. That doesn't mean I can't do my best to ensure the odds of it happening are slim! =)And you are very welcome. Have you come up with anything else that you might use for your daughter?

No problem- just trying to help. :) And you are right, choosing a less popular name does make the odds a little better...I think I'm just going to keep my faves list as is for now (you've seen it) until DH is ready to take a look at it and exercise his vetoing power- which will be sometime after we start TTC.
