[Opinions] Three Spanish male names
In the last month I've encountered three young men with interesting names...All of these men are Mexican.Asuncion
Marcelino
MargaritoAsuncion has grown on me...but unfortunately I can't entirely grasp the final "n" (I sound French!)--I wonder if "Suso" would be an appropriate nickname, though Suso already is for Jesus. I used to think this was just a female name. Margarito, I assume, was probably named after a female relative named Margarita. Marcelino is quite young, about 18-20 years old, and I think the name sounds too mature for him! What do you think?

I like Asuncion to! It sounds very nice. I dislike the other two, though.--Addy

I worked with a Margarito before. I think it is a legitimate masculine form of Margarita that just isn't in the database yet. Margaritos exists in Greek as the masculine form (though not very common). I am slightly surprised to se Asunción on a male as it is a feminine word in Spanish. I like all of the names.

I really like Marcelino and Margarito. Asuncion I've only seen on women before, but I definitely like the sound. I love long, elaborate male names beyond the typical Alexander, Sebastian, etc.
