1. What names are you thinking of most today?
I can't get Vyacheslav off of my mind. It's FANTASTIC!
2. Do you think its ok to have themed middle names in a sibset if you like all the names?
Sure, why not?
3. Do you think its ok to name a child after a book/movie character if its not REALLY obvious, and you were passionate about the book/movie?
Definately. I'm all for book characters (and even movie characters). But I'd hope that people wouldn't do something like name their son Edward because omgzztwilight! That's just not a good reason.
4. Do you think in about 8 years time it'll be ok to call a boy Shiloh?
I think it's ok now. It's not something I'd personally do (the name screams beagle to me), but I don't see anything wrong with it.
5. How do you find most of the names you put on your list, or have you just come across them over the years?
Research of various naming techniques from different cultures. I've recently been digging Russian names.
6. How long have you had a name list?
Since I was like 8 or something.
7. Do you write fiction/film scripts etc?
Nope.
8. Whats your least favourite name atm?
Hannah! I can't stand the name Hannah. I never have and never will.
9. Whats the first combo that comes into your head right now? Quick!!!
Iris Philomena. Long time favorite.
10. Do you think pets should have pet names (e.g. Fluffy) or people names or do you not really care?
I don't really care, but I think that extremely pretentious people names make great pet names! Like Socrates.
11. Whats the oddest combo (in your opinion) that you've ever liked?
Raven Demelza. Raven is so... trendy and kind of trashy, but for some reason I can't help loving it! Or perhaps Franz Ferdinand, just because of the associations. It's really a great combo, though.
12. Do you go through phases with your names, or do you tend to stick with most of them?
A little bit of both. There are some names that are temporary on my list, and some that have been on it for 10 years.
13. If you're planning on having children, how many would you want?
I don't even know if I want kids. But if I do have kids, I think I'd like 3 or 4 boys.
14. Is there one name you'd really like to use, but feel like you can't for some reason or other? If so, what name and why.
WAY too many to count. They include Franz Ferdinand, Raven, Alzbeta, Kreszentia (oh man I love this name), Ceridwen, Gwenevere (more usable), Ilithyia... the list never ends.
15. Do you like nature/word names or think they're a bit too weird and non-namey?
I like a select few. I like bird names, flower names and tree names. For some reason the names like, have good colors to them and stuff. Other than that I really don't like them. Seriously, Ocean and Lyric just seem to make such stupid names to me.
