1. What names are you thinking of most today?
Xanthe, Opal, Adelaide, Sonnet
Levi and August (Levi has been on my mind alot this week)
2. Do you think its ok to have themed middle names in a sibset if you like all the names?
the thing I don't like about themes is being tied to it, and using a name you don't love just to fit the theme. I'd hate to be restricted like that. However, if I loved all the names then I'd consider it, and in the middle name spot it's realy not a big deal, especially fi you don't carry it on for all the kids. It's not as noticeable as in the fn spot.
3. Do you think its ok to name a child after a book/movie character if its not REALLY obvious, and you were passionate about the book/movie?
yeah, if it has meaning to you I say go for it, I plan on using Lucy for a couple of reasons, one of them being after Lucy in Chronicals of Narnia. 4. Do you think in about 8 years time it'll be ok to call a boy Shiloh?
I think it's fine to use on a boy now5. How do you find most of the names you put on your list, or have you just come across them over the years?
Some of them I come across and love instantly, others I warm up to over time. Some are names I meet in real life, others are ones I've come across here6. How long have you had a name list?
Probably around 5 years. When I started my first list, my top names were Bailey and Bennett7. Do you write fiction/film scripts etc?
no 8. Whats your least favourite name atm?
Cutter for a boy 9. Whats the first combo that comes into your head right now? Quick!!!
Xanthe Lyric Evangeline - no suprises there10. Do you think pets should have pet names (e.g. Fluffy) or people names or do you not really care?
I really don't care either way. I have pets with people names (Lily & Deacon) and I've had pets with animal names (Patches, Freckles, Nutmeg) I think it can be a great way to use a name that you couldn't use on a real child, although you might end up regretting it as I do with Deacon. 11. Whats the oddest combo (in your opinion) that you've ever liked?
first thing that comes to mind is November Lilac "Emmy". I'm sure there are others too12. Do you go through phases with your names, or do you tend to stick with most of them?
the top ones tend to stick, but I'll go through phases with the lower down ones (say names # 3, 4, 5, 6). Sometimes it's a name i love that keeps coming back and then dropping down and then coming back (Sonnet, Afton, Delphine) sometimes it's a name I've always liked that i suddenly fall head over heels for (Levi) and sometimes it's a new find that jumps right up the list (Ezra, Adelaide)13. If you're planning on having children, how many would you want?
At least 4, and up to about 8- depending on the day. When it comes time to actually having these kids, the exact number will be determined by various factors including financial, the kids personalities and ages and genders, what my partner wants etc. i couldn't see myself with less than 4 kids though.14. Is there one name you'd really like to use, but feel like you can't for some reason or other? If so, what name and why.
Jenna, because I already know one. Isaiah, for the same reason. Sidney, because it's too themey with Adelaide. November, because it's too themey with August. Frances, because it's my friends middle name. Story and Poet and Sunrise, because I worry they are a bit too out there. 15. Do you like nature/word names or think they're a bit too weird and non-namey?
I like them, provided they are spelt right- I can live with name-names being misspelt (don't like it but can live with it) but when it comes to word-names being misspelt I think it just looks illiterate and defeats the purpose.
