Both gorgeous names! I prefer Sophia though. Actually, I think they make an excellent sibset. It's sort of a pity they both became so popular recently because now I won't want to use them. But they are both really beautiful.

I like both of these names, but if I had to choose which one to use, it would be Olivia. I really like the nn Livi.

Olivia is gorgeous. Sophia is just cute. I prefer Olivia, although I wouldn't use either because they are just too popular.

I prefer Sophia because I like the meaning.I know multiple babies/toddlers with both names though. Way too common.

They're both overused.
I prefer Livia to Olivia.

Neither of them ever really grabbed me and they do so even less so now that they're REALLY overdone... That being said, for a character in a book, it would really depend on the person's personality. Sophia seems more of an intellectual or noble type name and Olivia more of a free-spirit or hippyish or general sort of character.

I adore both names, but while I only really like Sophia a whole lot, I simply love Olivia.Olivia has also been a long time fave, on my top 10 for girls, in various spots over the years.
