Jocelyn & Jasper!
My mom is funny, last night she mentioned to me that she had found a name she really liked for a boy "even though dad and I probably won't be having any more kids". I was really surprised, because we harly ever talk about names. She still loves the name Jocelyn for a girl because it honors her mother Joyce. "And since" she said, "we'd be honoring my mom I thought about Jocelyn Sally to honor dad's mom". I thought it was rather sweet even though it doesn't seem to flow very well. :( I also suggested my personal favorite Jocelyn Pearl and she rather liked it.Then she said she couldn't remember the middle name she'd picked out but she really liked the name Jasper for a boy! Jasper (I'm still trying to recover from the shock)! She suggested Jasper Laurence but I'm already Laurie to honor my grandfather, and Jasper Kenneth wouldn't really work because there are so many Kenneths in our family, but she liked Jasper Henry which honors on my dad's mom's side. So what do you think of Jocelyn Sally and Jasper Henry?
What are your opinions of Jasper in general? I can't say I really like it that much.

I love the name Jocelyn, and Sally is my mom's name, so I like the combo. No, I don't like Jasper at all. Henry is nice, though.Leslie, lucky mommy to Scott (2000), Delaney (2002), and Larissa (2005)

I love Jasper, it's one of my favourite boy's names. Jasper Henry and Jasper Kenneth both sound very handsome to me.
Jocelyn isn't my style, and I don't like Sally but it's nice that it's a namesake. Jocelyn Pearl is lovely though.
I think your mum has great taste. :)

I love JasperWas there not a kind but somewhat clumsy man named Jasper in the TV-series "The road to Avonlea"?To me, Jasper sounds distinguished and handsome. (The Scandinavian variant Jesper is not uncommon in Sweden.) I think Jasper Henry sounds really nice. Jocelyn is pretty and I think Jocelyn Sally would be ok, to honor a Sally. Otherwise the combination is too L-heavy. Jocelyn Sarah or Jocelyn Sadie would flow better imo."But it’s all right now.

Tricky, because I don't like Jocelyn at all, but I like Sally alot lately.
Jasper Henry is fine, I just don't like Jasper. Jesper is one of my favourite names, but the a in Jasper makes it all wrong for me.

I don't like Jocelyn or Jasper. They both have always struck me as just being ugly names.

I love Jocelyn Pearl. I agree that Jocelyn Sally doesn't flow very well. I love the name Jasper. I doubt I'd ever have the guts to use it, but I think it's adorable. Jasper Henry is great!

I don't like the name Jocelyn at all. Jocelyn Sally wouldn't work IMO. I quite like the name Jasper. It was the pedigree name of my late dog Hansie(Sir Jasper of Brinoeski). I don't think Jasper Henry flows well.

I love both names, a lot, and they would make a great sibset.
I adore the name Jasper; we almost named our first son Jasper this past May. (We named him Wesley instead after getting so much negative feedback from friends and family.)
I like the idea of Jocelyn, and I may add it to my list. My g-ma's name is Joyce, so that would be a great way to honor her, since I don't particularly like the name Joyce.
Jocelyn Sally doesn't flow well at all, but I do like the meaning of it. Jasper Henry is nice.

I'm glad you like Jocelyn! My mom loves it, she first heard the combo Jocelyn Brooke in the doctor's office after my sis was born. Since our last name starts with an M she likes the idea of the initials JEM for a girl! :) Also JBM would work because my sis is KBM and I'm LBM. :)I really like Jocelyn Pearl though! :)Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I like Jocelyn. Jasper, not so much, I think it's the "s" sound. Not quite masculine for my taste. Perhaps as a middle name.

Rather odd aren't they? And I don't think they would flow at all with our sibset.Laurie Brittany
Colin Andrew (always Andy)
Kirsten BeatrixThen throw in Jocelyn or Jasper and it's not the greatest sibset! I'm kind of glad my parents aren't going to have any more kids! :)
