A friend of mine actually had a baby this year, and she named him Hiram Glen.I really like Elias. And Silas, which I think is similar.

I love Hiram and really like Elias, which is less unexpected. Hiram George, Hiram Nathaniel, Hiram Jonathan, Elias Henry, and Elias Robert appeal to me.

I'll admit that Hiram looks nice written down -- yet all I hear is hire 'em. I can understand the attraction to the name, though. Of your combos, I like Hiram Gabriel best followed by Hiram Jonathan.Re: Elias, I do like this one although I prefer the long e pronunciation (rather than the 'lie' one). Combos: I like Elias Henry, Elias Jude and Elias Jonathan.

I love Elias so much. It's dignified and such a strong masculine name, and yet still offers spunk that makes it fit on a little boy as well as it does a grown man.Elias William is on my personal list, but I really like Elias Jude and Elias Robert from your list.I want to like Hiram. It fits my personal style of old fashioned, but unpopular names. And yet, I don't really care for it. I wouldn't scoff at it if I saw it being used, but I don't think I could use it myself because it reminds me of the word haram.
