Ransom for a boy is eccentric, but kinda cool. I like it. It'd probably make me squirm at first, but not near as much as Landon or Ryker or Random.
Ransom for a girl seems terrible to me. Makes me think of kidnapping.
I don't care about middle names, I kinda think anything goes, so whatever to Charlie as a mn. Charlie as a girl's fn makes me groan. I hate it.
Joey: gosh, it's so childish ... uh, Joseph obvs.
Gus: Augustus. Gustave.
I'm not into Ever.
Leland - Leland, Lela, Leigh Lynn
Rachel - Raquel (I like Raquel.)
Beth - Beth, Bethan, Bethany, Annabeth, other ___beth names
Ann - Gosh. There are zillions of ways to refer to Ann. Can't list them all.
Beth Anna Ever is ok.
A stranger idea, which you might be open to, considering you named a child Caemlyn: Chelan "shell-ANN" http://www.behindthename.com/submit/name/chelan is the name of a lake in my state. It could be said to refer to both Rachel and Ann. Could be respelled or have the pronunciation changed to your taste, too.
