It's not bad at all. A bit of a mouthy-show-off kind of vibe, but not a pretentious one.

For some reason, I hate it. I say "for some reason", because it's not that different from Calvin, which I really like, and it sounds close to Evan, which I think is okay. But for some reason, I hate it. I really hate the way it looks. Then, of course, there's the fact that its popularity has rendered it massively boring.

I feel the same way and I can't really explain why?

Very old mannish, dated and musty.

I can't really like it at all. Kevin is a really really rough name around here.

As a name for a baby ... middle name.
It's a dadname, isn't it? It's like Gary as of 1995.
I think it's cool only because I have a good friend named Kevin. But on a child it is just ok ... just outside the "cool enough" range, sort of a trendy name of the past like Brian. I still like it alright. Not a fave.

Kevin is one of the few names I really can't stand.

People really hate Kevin, never realized it. It's not a bad first name, although it is a little whiney. I think I like it more because a few years ago, I knew a little redheaded boy named Kevin who was so cute and sweet.

I have a cousin named Kevin who is 29.
My husband has a cousin named Kevin who is 28.
I have a neighbour named Kevin who is 92. That is awesome!! I don't mind the name. It would be unexpected on a baby.

It's really dated where I'm from and isn't used on babies/children anymore, but for some reason I kind of like it. I don't like Kev as a nn though.

Kevin has never been on my radar. It's okay. There are many, many worse names out there.

It's considered a lower-class name here in France (since it's English-sounding), but all the Kevins I know are nice, so I kinda like it. I still wouldn't name my son Kevin, though.
