I think Maria is great, it's a classic. Pair it with something cool and spunky.

I have never been a huge fan of Lavender as a name either but I think it just works with Maria.

Maria Josephine stands out for me. I love Josephine, it would honor my father, Joseph. However, Maria / Mary and Josephine / Joseph would bother me in a combo.
