I prefer Mary, but Maria is fine and I do consider it classic. There is a large Hispanic population where I live, so I do think a Maria might be "lost in the crowd" here, but outside a of "hot spot", I think it would be a refreshing choice.
Of your list, these are the ten I think sound/feel best (left in the order you presented them). For me, the "ee" sound in Maria is very prominent, and I prefer not repeating that sound in the middle name; also prefer not repeating the "uh" ending, so my picks may not necessarily be what best suit your ear...

I like Mary as well, but for me Maria just feels more cosmopolitan. And you're right that outside of "hot spots" Maria would probably be a refreshing choice.
It was just alphabetical order you didn't have to keep it! You're definitely right about repeating sounds, it would be best to avoid them as it takes away from the names.

Maria Betrys - I will always associate it with Tetris but I like it's shape. It's like a trendy looking Beatrice.
