Which of the four?
Hebe
Ianthe
Tempest
Thisbe
Feel free to answer this question any way you like or can think of, whether that be stating your favourite of the four, ranking them in preference, commenting, etc.
Just please don't suggest Phoebe.
Much obliged!

I like Thisbe the best. It's not common, yet appealing and familiar enough in sound that it doesn't confuse.
Hebe is the coolest as far as appearance, but probably the most likely to be mispronounced as well.
Tempest is cool. Reminds me of Shakespeare, and makes me think of the name Temple, which I like so much more. It does have the benefit of being a name that evokes both image and emotion - which is pretty dandy.
Ianthe is not really my forte as far as sound, but I will admit it's chic factor.

Ianthe is lovely. It's soft and feminine without being frilly and juvenile. It's definitely my favorite of the group.
Thisbe is alright. Once if get past the "sounds too much like frisbee" it actually grows on me a bit.
Tempest sounds more like an unruly horse than a person. And if I saw this name on a person, I'd be curious to see it the parents were English lit geeks with other children named Othello and Lear or nature geeks with other children named Oceana and Juniper
Hebe. I just don't have much to say on this one other than I don't care for it.

Hey, I studied drama!
Haha, thank you.
Haha, thank you.
I like Ianthe the best.
Thank you!
What about Phoebe? :P
In order of preference I'd go....
Thisbe - yes it's similar to Frisbee but I can't help thinking its wonderful and delightful. I'd like to be called Thisbe it's such a cool name and I like playing Frisbee :)
Tempest - again a wonderful name, a little heavier feeling they Thisbe, but still great. I imagine a Tempest to have long flowing hair and to be a bit theatrical in het emotions
Hebe - it's cute and has a young vibe. I imagine anybody called Hebe to be mischievous,I like that
Ianthe - I don't dislike it, it just feels a bit more serious and less playful than the others. It's like Ianthe would be friends with Thisbe, Tempest and Hebe but wouldn't quite fully understand their vibe and would worry more about what others thought. She'd be more of a rule follower and constantly try and get her friends to follow the rules and be a bit more sensible, whilst Thisbe, Tempest and Hebe prefer to dance to the sound of their own drum. I do like Ianthe though, its much better than Xanthe

Three of them have my very least favorite sound ever. I can't stand Daphne, Phoebe, Esme etc. I would include Hebe and Thisbe in that category too.
Ianthe is not that bad. I can tolerate it and I kind of like the look of it. I'm not sure about Tempest as a name. It's a bit strange. It has a more pleasant sound than the others but I don't know, Ianthe would probably work better as a name.

Thank you! Do you pronounce Esme as EZ-mee? I say es-MAY.
Thank you!
From you, Ianthe, little trouble pass
Like little ripples down a sunny river;
Your pleasures spring like daisies in the grass,
Cut down, and up again as blithe as ever.
You must admit, none of the others comes close to that! I'd put Thisbe in second place for the sheer prettiness of it, though the play-within-a-play in Midsummer Night's Dream does it no favours. Hebe gives me the heebie-jeebies, and I choose to believe that Tempest isn't a name at all. And I hope I'm right.

The word "moxie" makes me happy. Thank you!
Thanks!
Ooh... I like Ianthe best.
Thank you!
Gaaah, I really like them all (and I'm surprised that Thisbe isn't in the database). Hebe is so quirky and playful, Ianthe is mysterious and alluring, Tempest is a self-confident leader, and Thisbe is sporty and bookish at once.
Today I'll choose Ianthe, but they're all great choices; I don't think I could say which I definitely prefer over the other.

Thank you very much! This is the exact trouble I'm having.
Thisbe is by far my favourite of the four. A bit awkward ot say, perhaps, but still just really fun.
Ianthe would be next in rank for me. At least as far as actually usable.
Tempest is a GP of mine. Totally ridiculous, yet I like it.
Hebe just gives me the heebie-jeebies. Well, not really, but that's the association I would have.
For what it's worth, I like Phoebe. :) And Daphne.

Phoebe would be great if it weren't so annoyingly popular.
Thank you!
Thank you!
Thank you! Thisbe would be great on a cat.
Thanks!
Thank you!
Tempest is the best of the lot.
Thank you!
I very much dislike all of them.
I guess I'll go with Ianthe. Its my least disliked

Thanks.
Thank you!
Hebe!
I know a Hebe! She's really nice, and really funny, kind of Björk-ish. She suits her name. And I happen to know an evil Phoebe...
