I have too many to remember! (m)
I have twenty three biological aunts and uncles in total and, because I'm not in regular contact with all of them, I have never for the life of me been able to remember all of their names. Here's a quick selection:Marion
Iris
Ivor
Idris
Florence
Maureen
Glynn
Howard
David (x2)
Rosie
Theresa
Ottilie

Wow. The Childfree Wingnut "We are The Holy Anointed because we don't further pollute the overpopulated earth by breeding" types would just love your grandparents, lol.

Hahaha, right? This was kind of normal for the time and place, though, I think.

23? Wow. How many of them are blood-related? If you don't mind me asking.
Just wondering

All biological, like I said. They're all maternal relatives and mostly great aunts and great uncles, so my grandparents' siblings. Most are married or in long term relationships, I can only think of two that aren't.

Oh you're counting great aunts and uncles! I call mine aunt and uncle, but didn't think to add them in. No way I could remember all of mine either, if I counted them. Also I'm sure I'd have way more than 23...I do like the selection you've provided, though. Ivor! Idris! swoonI think I'll go edit mine to add the ones I can think of now, it would get much more interesting then

It didn't occur to me not to! I love some of my aunts and uncles' names, too - especially Ivor!

Right, I was right about to correct my very silly mistake. You beat me to it. (:I'm so used to saying the terms of: "blood-related" or "related by marriage" that I had completely forgot for the moment that "biological" in this terms means "blood-related"
But to me fair, you are counting your great-Aunts & uncles. I assumed this post was about first aunts & uncles. Otherwise, I probably would have posted my grandparents siblings as well. Oh well (:Alright, sorry about that (:

My family considers great aunts and uncles and "first" aunts and uncles as one and the same, and that's how it works with cousins, too. Families are different like that :)
