Well, newish, they're both about a month old already.
My cousin had her second daughter, Emily Diane who joins big sister Hanna Lynn
A friend of my husband welcomed a baby girl named Emileah Lily. Apparently Emileah is pronounced like Emily (wtf?) and is spelled in that horrendous way to honor her BFF Leah (prn like Lee). Apparently the baby is called Emmy most of the time, but still, I just shake my head.
Personally I'm not a fan of Emily, mostly because it's so cutesy and popular and the quintessential girls name, it's just so boring but I have to say Emily Diane just makes me squee because it's so cute and it goes so well with Hanna Lynn. Nothing special or unique but adorable.
Emileah on the other hand just makes me cringe, that poor little girl is in for a lifetime of correcting the spelling and pronunciation of a name that should be easy as pie, and the reiterating sounds of "ily" in Emileah Lily makes my tongue feel fat and clumsy. Redundant and unnecessary.
What are your thoughts on the two Emily combos?
