HelpRe: The names that got away

Katerina -- This is what I wanted to name dd #1 and DH was actually okay with that. The problem is that he wanted to choose the mn and he did, Nicole, which sounded awful paired with Katerina so I went with Katherine instead.
Joy -- This is the mn I wanted to use so badly after Kate was born. I felt an immediate connection to it and will always think of it as part of her name. I should have fought for it/promised to compromise with a future child's name/whatever.
Ditto with Caroline. This is what felt right with dd #3. At least it's her mn, though.
I'm not sure if this counts since I never had a ds, however, I'm mad about Leo. While I can't exactly say it was a name that got away, I still feel a loss that I'll never get to use it, lol.
BTW, I really like Jasper and Stephane.
