Evie
I've found myself smitten with Evie as a nickname recently. Because Evie is a rather youthful name, I'd like it to be tied to something more substantial. I was wondering what names you would use that could have Evie as a nickname.

I like Evie a lot. Unfortunately I don't love any full name quite enough to use myself and I'm also a little turned off by how popular Evie has become. That being said, I really really like some full names for Evie, especially Eve, Genevieve and Evelyn.I do love Caoimhe enough to use and would use Evie as an occasional nickname but I'm not sure I'd ever want to burden my kid with Caoimhe outside of Ireland and I don't like any of the Anglicized spellings.

Genevieve! Works wonderfully as a full name for Evie.

I love Evie as a full name and nickname, and I have it as a nn for one of my favourites; Evanthe. But I love it as a nn for any Ev- name, whether it has the Eev or Ehv sound, I think Evie works for all of them! Or initials E.V. I also like Guinevere, Evelyn/Eibhlin, and Evangelise (guilty pleasure) with nn Evie.

My best friend growing up was Eve but she usually went by Evie, especially more so as she got older and even now in her early twenties she goes by Evie. It's only really her parents that call her Eve and I sometimes call her E.Eve is in my Top Ten, I love it so much but would try to use it rather than Evie (a bit like the parents in the above example I guess).I've heard of Evie also being used as a nickname for Evelyn (EV-lyn) and Genevieve. "ee" ending names are very popular in the UK so recently I've been more likely to hear "just" Evie.

Evie is super cute! DH has a cousin who has a little girl named Evelyn and she is mostly called Evie. I like Evelyn and Eve as the full name for an Evie. Tbh I don't mind Evie as a full name either.

I love this as a nn too. It reminds me of little elves and nature.

I love Evelyn, Evelina, Evangeline, Evangelina or simply Eve. I love Evie too, but agree with you that it is better as a nickname.
