Forever associated with a teacher I had who was totally nuts. Great lady, but crazy. Makes it hard for me to view the name on its own. But I'm not usually fond of the Eu- in other names

I really like Eunice. People see it as an "old lady name," but there's nothing wrong with an underused classic. The meaning is wonderful (good victory), and the sound isn't bad.

I think it's sweet, gentle, misunderstood, and underappreciated. Justice for Eunice!I like the combos Eunice Emily, Eunice Rebecca, Eunice Eleanor, and Eunice Caroline.

Would that be YOUniss, youNEEsee or YOUnisee?I'd expect it to be pronounced YOUniss, and it's not at all bad though there are many names I like better. One of the leading girls-only schools where I live is Eunice, pronounced youNEEsee, so my associations with it colour my judgment. YOUnisee sounds top-heavy somehow.

usually i love a lot of vintage names w/ no embarrassment or care about how old it may look, but Eunice is like. next level grandma levels. which isn't a bad thing at all to me, it only means that it may stand out more and the kid may be teased a lot about it. if you don't care about that though, go for it. it has a charming meaning and very gentle sound.
