Re: Sibling names for big brother McCoy
in reply to a message by NOM
I personally think Peyton Riley and Sloane McLaine are too masculine/surnamey. If you like these style names, fine, but I personally think when you use unisex names (or gender-switched names), you should balance it with a name that's more traditionally associated with that gender (example: Oakley is pretty unisex. Oakley Katherine is definitely a girl, Oakley Peter is definitely a boy, and Oakley Rowan could be either and if someone read it off a piece of paper, they won't know what to expect). [You did this with McCoy-- I'm pretty sure I've seen McCoy for girls, but by making Thomas his middle name, you made it more obvious].So, scrambling your combos:Peyton Ruby
Peyton Caroline
Peyton Elizabeth
Sloane Elizabeth
Sloane Caroline
Caroline Riley / Riley Caroline
Abigail McLaine
Ruby McLaine
Abigail Sloane
Of the combos you already have, Piper Elizabeth is my favorite. Abigail Anniston and Sloane McLaine are my least favorites-- Abigail Anniston because I don't like either name and Sloane McLaine because it sounds like a law firm. Other girl names you might like:Harper
Audra
Skylar
Harlow
Keely
Liv
Laine (I would not recommend using McLaine which I know you like as a first name; too similar to McCoy)
Nora
LeonaOf your current boys list, I like Corbin, Bennett, and Kirby's kind of fun. I also like seeing Reagan for a boy. Other boy names you might like:Hayes
Benson
Griffin
Clark
Emerson
Lennox
Landry
Sutton
Paxton
Starlight Cassander Adior
Tirzah Nocturne Silver

OH fun! Thank you for the feedback! I like several of the boy names you listed! It definitely makes sense about mixing unisex with traditional. Thank you! :)
