2nd middle name
I'm umming and ahhing about a second middle name if this baby is a girl..My daughter has two middle names, one that we liked and one to honour my grandmother. At the moment our top girls name is Winifred, which is actually hubby's grandmothers name.
I feel like we have to stick to the two middle name trend, but wondering whether we should use another honouring name as 2nd middle name or just one we like...
My other grandmothers name was Elizabeth "Betty" but I detest Elizabeth and think Betty by itself.
My other option is to use the boys middle name we had picked out, Stewart. After my grandfather... Winifred Rowena Stewart (SN)Any other suggestions to go on the end of
Winifred Rowena __________ (SN)
Also, I don't know why I didn't think of this but I told my two year old some of the names that we were thinking about and got her to repeat them back. At the moment Winifred, Percy/Percival and Casper are sounding insanely cute from her mouth. Edwina sounds like a-weiner though :D

Could Ellis possibly be an alternative for Elizabeth? Winifred Rowena Ellis certainly sounds no-nonsense and yet sophisticated. Also, if honouring is important to you, you could also use the name of one of the great-grandparents of you and your husband. Ask your parents for the names of their grandparents and see if there is a name among them that you like?

Winifred Rowena Lise
Winifred Rowena Lisbeth
Winifred Rowena Beth
Winifred Rowena Elise
Winifred Rowena ElsbethBut I don't think there's any reason to honour twice. Just pick a name you like.

What about a different form of Elizabeth?Winifred Elsa Rowena
Winifred Elsie Rowena
Winfred Eliza Rowena
Winifred Bethan RowenaOr maybe honoring your brother?Winifred Rowena ChristineOr just more random:Winifred Rowena Frances

There's really none of the varients of Elizabeth (other than Eliza, but that's my cousin who I don't speak to name) that I really like, and it feels like a bit of a stretch..I do love Winifred Rowena Frances :)

Yeah, the only 'variants' of Elizabeth that I like are nicknames like Bess and Betsy but I'd never use either of them as a full name.Winifred Rowena Frances is fun. I like it.I don't know if you'd be opposed to this, but if I remember correctly, your middle name Simone was chosen so you'd have the same initials as your Dad, right? Seeing as Rowena already starts with the 'R', what about Winifred Rowena Simone? Your Dad picked Simone, right? I'm drawing on some random memories so I may be way off there but having the R.S. initials as part of her name might be a cool nod to your Dad and you...and if he loved Simone, he may feel quite pleased to see it passed on to a granddaughter too? Or even getting him to pick a few 'S' names that he loves for you and Dave to choose from?

Yeah I did think about reusing Simone.. could be kinda cute and sweet. Mmm wonder if dad would like it :)

Elizabeth themed suggestions:Winifred Rowena Elise
Winifred Rowena Lizette
Winifred Elsa Rowena
Winifred Rowena Isabel
Winifred Rowena Lizaveta
Winifred Rowena Bethan
Winifred Rowena LilibethStewart is very hard to feminize and Stewart is really not great as a MN for a girl. Does he have MNs maybe?

I think since Winifred is honouring, and your daughter has one out of three names honouring, it’s fine if you pick a name you just like for the second middle. As mentioned below, Winifred and Rowena are quite easy to trip over next to each other, but they do flow better with a second middle as Winifred Rowena, so I suppose it works. I get my words jumbled a lot, so it only matters if you’re fine with it. Alternatively, Elizabeth has a lot of variations that could be used to honour, something like Winifred Elsie Rowena, Winifred Rowena Elise, or Winifred Rowena Elspeth.

I think Winifred Betty Rowena flows better than Winifred Rowena Betty, because that's a bit of a mouthful of r and w sounds to me! I don't like the idea of Stewart for a girl, even if it is honouring.

Yeah I don't really like either option...I'm just wondering whether to just pick two middle names that we like, since Winifred would already be honouring..Just don't know what to pick since all my other favourite names are so long.

You know what, since Winifred is honouring, I'd go with 2 mns that you both like. That makes the most sense. What are the other contenders?

Lol... none! haha.
Winifred is pretty much the only FN we agree on other than maybe Edwina. Maybe MNs: Frances, Maeve, Wilhelmina (too long for MN), Thomasina (ditto), Minerva, Henrietta

Winifred Maeve Edwina would work. Have you thought about a different form of Elizabeth? There are soooo many.

What about Winifred Betty Rowena? Or Winifred Rowena Betty, but I don't like that flow. A lot will depend on your ln. Betty and Winifred have the same vintage vibe, and Rowena brings the combo happily up to date.

Winifred Rowena is very hard to say, almost like a deliberate tongue-twister, and adding Stuart/Stewart to it just makes the mashup of r's and w's worse.
My advice is to stick something else in between Winifred and Rowena if you can't bear to part with either name. Winifred Betty Rowena, maybe?
