Opinion on a twin name combination (both girls)?
I have an idea of what I would name my children (first and middle) if I have twin girls: I would name them Raina Flora and Regina Fauna. I chose this because when you find out the meaning of these names, they mean "queen of the plants" and "queen of the animals", respectively. What is your opinion on this twin name combination?

It sounds like something a young girl might consider for her dolls, if she had access to the right kind of dictionary. The first names are too close for even the least name-nerdly person to miss the connection, and the middle names are just plain silly. Flora on its own isn't bad - pity about the margarine - but Fauna! And they are worse together than apart. Oh dear. And, the names would actually mean 'Flower Queen' and 'Animal Queen'' not that that improves them.

It's definitely matchy-matchy. If you don't think it's too cheesy, then cool, but I personally don't like Regina.
Also, most English speakers will think of "rain" when they see Raina. Reina and Rani are more obviously "queen".

Maybe if you are naming characters in a children's book, but in real life these names are way too close and confusing and the sentiment is fairly cheesy.

Honestly, I'm not a fan at all.I usually like combos where names end in A, but Raina Flora really sounds weird together.
And Flora and Fauna sounds like sparkly fairies from a children's TV show or something.
Please no. Don't make twins names "themey." Let children be individuals instead of always being half of a pair.

Very tacky to me. But I don't think everyone would immediately recognise Raina and Regina as both meaning 'queen' like I do, so for many it wouldn't be tacky. Flora and Fauna are okay as middle names only. It'd be pretty bad if they were the first names.

I think Raina and Regina are a bit too much together, and the flow of Raina Flora is awful.

I like both Regina and Reina (but usually prefer it Reyna or Rayna) but together they're hokey, and the middle names are even hokier, so the set, taken all together, is hokey to the nth degree and sounds like cartoon characters.

Ugh...what an eyesore! I rather like matchy names, but this is just too much! (especially Flora and Fauna)Why not try Rachel Florence & Rebecca Fiona? That way, they both have the same initials, but it's not too matchy.

Hi !!!Being a twin I often dislike matched names especially if they use same letters or looks too similar. But your ideal sibset is so beautiful! Reina Flora (with an e is the right spelling) and Regina Fauna are so out-there, poetic and soft that they are lovely! It's like you come across fairies! It's so sweet and tender that parents would choose them! What about Reina Flora & Queenie Fauna? To stay with the same theme but not so similar names.

I think all themed sibsets are cheesy, but Raina and Regina seem less matchy than Flora and Fauna would, so I think it could work.Individually, I like Raina and Fauna a lot; Regina and Flora are okay.
